How you would use with your students and brief summary:  This story retells the legend of the Indian and the Paintbrush, which is about Little Gopher who is a painter and likes to make and decorate toys is not big enough to be a warrior so instead he starts painting images on animal skin about what the warriors do and visions of the shaman. He then finds an all white buckskin and wants to paint the sunset and one day he goes up to the hill and finds paintbrushes with each color of the sunset sticking out of the ground. This would be a great story that would show students that maybe you're not as big as the athletic students in the class, but that doesn't mean you do not possess a special talent.
